Neighbourhood Support Officer
Grade B – £28,598 – £34,434 (Consultation grade – subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review). Permanent. Working 36.5 hours per week.
This is an exciting opportunity to work for City Housing. We are looking for an enthusiastic person with good interpersonal skills and abilities that meet our person specification for the role.
Responsibilities
The post holder will manage all aspects of housing, including allocations, move‑ons, repairs, delivery of individual support & wellbeing to maintain tenancy for sheltered housing tenants. You will conduct face‑to‑face visits in tenants' homes to improve the health and wellbeing of tenants, especially older people and those with disabilities, helping them achieve their goals to live resilient, happy, and healthy lives in a sheltered environment. This may involve working on conditions of tenancy, anti‑social behaviour, debt advice, benefit advice, and liaising with multiple agencies both internal and external for the benefit of the tenant and the City. Our aim is that people live independently with support from multiple agencies as required.
Awareness of building management and Health & Safety is also part of the role, and the post holder must work jointly with others to ensure these are met.
The role is City wide and may involve working across multiple sheltered housing schemes. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.
