We are supporting a growing, technology‑led insurance organisation based in the West Midlands, who is hiring a Risk & Compliance Officer to play a key role in its second line of defence.
This position will focus on building and maintaining effective compliance and risk frameworks across the business, supporting an FCA‑regulated entity and working closely with senior stakeholders, product teams and third‑party providers.
The Risk and Compliance Officer will lead on regulatory compliance (including FCA/PRA), enterprise risk management, vendor and partner risk assessments, and the embedding of compliance into product development and day‑to‑day operations. The role suits someone with strong hands‑on experience in a regulated environment who can operate confidently as a trusted adviser, influence across the business, and help foster a strong culture of risk awareness and compliance.
This is a full time, hybrid role working 3 days a week in the West Midlands office.
The successful applicant must have:
* Proven experience in compliance role within an FCA regulated financial services environment
* Strong working knowledge of FCA/PRA regulatory frameworks and regulatory reporting obligations
* Hands‑on experience building and embedding risk and compliance frameworks, including operational and third‑party risk
* Ability to operate as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders, providing clear, practical regulatory guidance
