About the Role
As a key member of our EV Team, the Technical Surveyor will play a vital role in the surveying and engineering aspects of our EV projects. Your responsibilities will include:
* Collaborating with internal Drax teams, external partners, DNOs, TPIs, and customers to ensure successful project costing, proposals, and implementation.
* Interpreting customer specifications to produce detailed functional design specifications.
* Reviewing and selecting accurate technology solutions for implementation.
* Conducting technical site surveys to ensure optimal design and pricing of EV installations.
* Ensuring compliance with all standards, policies, and environmental plans to meet the highest legislative standards.
* Thinking outside the core Electrical discipline to integrate multi-disciplinary approaches into coordinated solutions.
Who We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you’ll ideally have:
* Experience in the installation, design, or maintenance of EV charging equipment.
* Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to communicate clearly and understand customer needs.
* Experience working on LV and HV projects, along with site experience (survey/install/setting to work).
* Knowledge of ‘The Code of Practice for Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation’ (IET Standards) and compliance with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
