Your new role As the finance function continues to evolve, we are hiring a Senior Financial Accountant to strengthen financial reporting, resolve legacy issues, and support a complex leasing business with diverse modular assets. Key Responsibilities: HMRC Returns: Prepare and submit accurate and timely returns, ensuring full compliance with UK tax regulations. Data Analysis & Reporting: Extract and analyse large data sets to produce insightful financial reports for internal and external stakeholders. Month-End Close: Lead the month-end reporting cycle, including journal postings, accruals, and reconciliations. Financial Statements: Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP/IFRS. Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in financial processes and controls. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including FP&A, Tax, and Operations to ensure accurate and timely financial information. What you will need to succeed Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent). Experience: Strong background in financial accounting, preferably within a leasing/asset-heavy business. Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills; experience with large data sets and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
