Overview
We are excited to be launching a new service in Carmarthenshire and are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and solution-focused individual to join our team as a Community Engagement Worker. This is a part-time role (30 hours per week) offered on a fixed-term basis until February 2027. It is essential for the successful candidate to have access to a car, have a full drivers licence, and be happy to transport customers in their car. As a Community Engagement Project Worker, you'll play a key role in delivering The Positive Relationships Service across Llanelli, Amman, and Gwendraeth. These community hubs offer preventative, solution-based support that empowers people to:
* Improve or maintain their health, wellbeing, and independence
* Strengthen social connections and community ties
* Prevent isolation, relationship breakdown, and housing instability
* You'll be part of a service that helps individuals, families, carers, and communities to communicate openly, resolve conflicts, and sustain respectful, healthy, and constructive relationships.
Responsibilities
* Deliver The Positive Relationships Service across Llanelli, Amman, and Gwendraeth in a preventative, solution-based manner.
* Support customers to improve health, wellbeing, independence, social connections, and prevent isolation and relationship breakdown.
* Assist individuals, families, carers, and communities to communicate openly, resolve conflicts, and sustain healthy relationships.
Qualifications and attributes
* Skilled communicator with the ability to listen, empathise, and remain impartial.
* Experienced (or willing to be trained) in facilitation or conflict resolution.
* Passionate about supporting people to improve their wellbeing, strengthen relationships, and feel part of their community.
* Solution-focused, resilient, and able to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and care.

* £28,041.00 FTE
* Work Pattern: 4 days per week but required to work a Wednesday to attend team meetings. Work pattern can be discussed during interview.
