Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process, ensuring that all materials and services are acquired efficiently and cost-effectively. This position requires strong negotiation skills, a solid understanding of supply chain logistics, and proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organisational goals.
* Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness.
* Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their offerings.
* Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure advantageous agreements.
* Collaborate with internal departments to forecast demand and manage inventory levels.
* Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues that may arise during the procurement process.
* Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data within ERP systems.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements throughout the procurement process.
Experience
* Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management is essential.
* Familiarity with SAP, Oracle EBS, or other ERP systems is highly desirable.
* Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract management.
* Knowledge of logistics processes and supply chain dynamics.
* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess data for informed decision-making.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
