Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant Wirral Immediate Start
The Role
You will be joining a supportive team dedicated to ensuring every pupil achieves their potential. Your responsibilities will include:
* Delivering targeted 1:1 and small-group interventions to pupils across the primary phase with EHCPs or identified SEN.
* Adapting learning materials and environments to ensure accessibility and promote student independence.
* Collaborating closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to track progress and contribute to review meetings.
* Providing crucial emotional reassurance and mentorship to help students successfully navigate their school day.
Requirements
We are seeking a professional with a proven track record in SEN support. Minimum requirements:
* Experience: Minimum of six months proven experience supporting children with diverse SEN (e.g., Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties) in a UK school setting.
* Skills: Exceptional empathy, patience, and de-escalation skills. Strong, clear communication ability.
* Availability: Committed full-time availability for the duration of the long-term placement.
* Safeguarding: A valid Enhanced DBS check (on the Update Service) is required, or immediate willingness to obtain one.
