Customer API Integration Specialist
Salary in the region of £30,000 depending on relevant skills and experience, with a 10% annual bonus potential, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing to 27.5 days after 10 years of service), and a company pension scheme with competitive contribution rates.
This is a permanent, full-time role with a hybrid working model requiring attendance at our Milton Keynes office a minimum of 3 days per week, with flexibility based on business needs. During the initial training period (approximately 2 months), attendance is required 5 days per week.
Royal Mail’s Customer Solutions Team manages and responds to the technical needs of our internal and external customers, ensuring efficient support for shipping and tracking integrations.

About the role
1. Provide support to customers for integration solutions, including Out-Of-Hours support when necessary.
2. Coordinate with internal stakeholders regarding customer integration updates.
3. Work with suppliers to resolve issues related to our solutions.
4. Maintain documentation to support ongoing customer support.
5. Manage relationships with sales teams to identify customer opportunities and maximize IT solutions.
6. Ensure customer satisfaction by onboarding solutions on time and providing professional support.
7. Communicate effectively about system outages.
8. Analyze data to identify improvements and proactive measures for customer satisfaction.
About you
To excel, you should have:
* Experience supporting external customers with excellent service skills.
* Ability to engage with senior stakeholders, including board-level.
* Technical knowledge in APIs and web services.
* Understanding of the express parcels industry and customer operating models.
* Knowledge of process efficiencies, data mapping, security, interface definition, and testing.
* Influencing and people management skills.
* A collaborative approach within a team.
