Job title: Technical Buyer Salary: Competitive DOE Location: Chorley Type: Permanent Overview of the role: The Technical Buyer is responsible for ensuring goods and services are ordered and delivered on time, within budget and to the correct specification and quality requirements. The Technical Buyer is responsible for the entire procurement lifecycle, including • Interpretation of the requirements (scope) • Supplier selection (capability) • Contract & cost negotiation (terms) • Ensuring the purchased item(s) or service(s) is delivered on time and to scope At project buying level, the Technical Buyer will support the creation of the procurement plan, to deliver optimised buying strategies.
