About the Job

Lets Play are looking for an individual to lead a variety of fun-filled activities and supervise children during the Fun Week programme in the school holidays at Watford Woodside Leisure Centre, Watford. The role involves keeping children safe, leading activities, and delivering the programme to a high standard for mixed-ability groups aged 5 to 12 years.

The daily programme will include activities from our schedule with a positive impact on young children. Sessions may include: Multi-Sports, Performing Arts/Dance, Swimming, Bouncy Castle, Team Games, Esports, Lego Building and Arts n Crafts.

Essential Requirements

* Has a keen interest and passion in working with and facilitating fun games for primary-aged children.
* Has experience working at children’s holiday camps and/or a childcare setting.
* Demonstrates willingness to develop their skills and general practice.
* Punctual, Reliable & Committed.
* Has experience in delivering activities to primary-aged children.
* Strong communication & organisational skills.
* Able to interact well with staff, parents/carers, and children.


Preferred Requirements

* Clean UK driver’s license.
* Experience and/or willingness to deliver other activities during our Fun Week provision, such as: Arts n Crafts, Multi-Sports.
* Completed appropriate courses at Sixth Form, College or University.


Duties & Responsibilities

* Manage and motivate your team, to ensure they are delivering the programme to a high standard.
* Liaise with parents/carers, staffing team and the Directors on a regular basis.
* Ensure sessions delivered are challenging, realistic and fun for primary-aged children.
* Create a positive learning environment for the children in our care.
* Deliver the coaching programme to a high standard consistently.
* Follow our coaching philosophy, ensuring everything we deliver is: Fun, Inclusive and Educational.
* Understand the individual needs of the staff and children in our care and challenge/engage them appropriately.
* Deal with any first aid/emergency situation.
* Be approachable in liaising with parents/carers.
* Be committed to ensuring every session is delivered to the best of your ability.
* Be creative and passionate in your delivery.
