Shared Lives Carer
Are you able to work from the comfort of your own home to support a person with care and support needs? Then we could have the perfect opportunity for you!
The Shared Lives Service helps individuals with additional needs, including mental health issues, learning disabilities, dementia, age-related problems, or young people leaving care who need support to become independent.
You could support someone aged 16 or above with varying levels of need, from assistance with finances and developing positive relationships to personal care and medication, or anything in between.
Your commitment can be flexible to fit your lifestyle. Whether you currently work from home, travel to work, or are not working, you could be matched with someone and receive a paid allowance of between £374.91 to £572.97 per week, depending on the level of support required. Day support is paid at £12.60 per hour, usually in 6-hour sessions.
You will undergo a thorough assessment process, and your skills, abilities, and support level will be matched with a suitable individual, sharing your interests and lifestyle.
If you can offer support from a few hours a day, a couple of nights for a short break, or a longer-term placement, we are actively recruiting carers and would love to hear from you.
