Bank Project Worker – Southend Young Persons Service, Stanier Close, Southend on Sea

Salary: £14.01 per hour

Hours: as and when required

Sanctuary Supported Living is delighted to be recruiting for a Bank Project Worker at our Southend Young Persons Service. We specialise in delivering a wide range of personalised housing, care, and support services to help people across England live as independently as possible. We’re a national organisation, not-for-profit, and we work locally with our customers at the heart of what we do.

The role of Bank Project Worker will include:

* Regularly assessing the needs of customers by writing and updating support plans, and signposting access to education, training, and employment
* Supporting customers in their day-to-day living (e.g., cooking and cleaning)
* Offering advice in relation to fulfilling tenancy conditions
* Assisting customers with managing finances and welfare benefits
* Encouraging social inclusion and helping customers build confidence, resilience, and self-esteem
* Ensuring Sanctuary Supported Living delivers its safeguarding responsibilities


Skills and experience

* Proven experience of working with vulnerable people
* A positive approach to working with young people who have a range of needs
* Good interpersonal and customer care skills, with an approachable attitude
* Sound knowledge of action/support planning, key working, risk assessment and safeguarding
* Ability to work on your own initiative
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel or similar
* NVQ3 in Health & Social Care, or willingness to work towards
