Private Family Chef - Central London
£70,000 | Monday-Friday + every other Saturday. | 9:30am-6:30pm | 25 days holiday + generous time in lieu
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and personable Private Chef to join a warm and welcoming fully staffed household in Central London. This is a long-term position suited to a chef with experience in high-level private homes who can create nutritious, flavour-forward meals with elegance, creativity, and calm confidence.
The Household:
The family consists of two adults and two young children (aged 7 and 4), supported by two nannies and a professional household team. The household has an informal yet luxury atmosphere, and the kitchen, a large, open plan space - is the true heart of the home. A fully equipped staff kitchen is located downstairs for preparation and overflow when required.
The Role:
You'll be responsible for preparing healthy, lunches and dinners for the family six days a week (when in residence). Breakfast is handled by ther housekeepers. The food ethos is clean, balanced, and family friendly - a mix of Italian, Brazilian, Indian, and other global cuisines, with a Keto leaning focus. Lots of grilled meats and fish, creative and interesting salads/sides, and vegetable forward plates focussing on low sugar & maximum flavour.
The successful chef will be proactive in menu planning, sourcing the best ingredients, and suggesting new ideas. The principals often hosts intimate wine tasting dinners (up to 8 guests) and would love a chef confident in curating elegant pairing menus to complement the sommelier's wines. You'll also cater children's parties and relaxed dinner parties (up to 16 guests).
The Ideal Candidate:
* Prior experience as a Private Chef in a high level residence is essential.
* Naturally warm, calm, and team oriented - able to collaborate with other staff while taking ownership of the kitchen.
* Organised and efficient - you'll manage all ordering, stock, hygiene, kitchen organisation, and deliveries.
* Able to assist with informal service when needed and coordinate support from house staff with kindness and quiet leadership.
* Happy to adapt - lunch and dinner timings vary depending on family schedule.
* Flexible to work evenings or events when required (with ample time off in lieu - especially when the family travels during school summer holidays Christmas, Easter etc).
Salary & Benefits:
* Salary: £70,000 per annum negotiable
* Hours: Monday-Saturday, 9:30am-6:30pm (with flexibility for events)
* Holidays: 25 days + additional time off in lieu during family travel periods
* Start: Trial from 28th August onwards, interviews with the House Manager ASAP.
