Join a leading player in the electronics sector and take your career to the next level.Based in Stevenage.we're looking for a confident and experienced Credit Controller to join a finance team and help maintain strong cash flow and client relationships.
What you'll be doing:
* Reviewing and verifying customer credit data to establish or update credit limits, using credit agencies and working within company SLAs
* Managing invoice disputes to ensure prompt resolution and payment or issuing credits where appropriate
* Monitoring aged debt, chasing overdue payments, placing accounts on hold, and agreeing payment plans
* Following up on payment arrangements and recommending escalation to external collection agencies when necessary
* Keeping accurate records of credit risks and files
* Handling both domestic and export customers
* Performing additional duties as required to support the credit control function
Must haves:
* Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with SAP systems
* Commercial Credit Control environments
* Proven track record in credit control within a larger organisation
* Solid exposure to corporate accounts and high-volume transactions
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
