Lead Project Engineer | Power and Renewables | Inverurie, Aberdeenshire

We are seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Project Engineer to join a dynamic team delivering high-value power and renewables projects. This permanent role offers the opportunity to work on a substantial portfolio of projects over the next 5+ years and grow your career in a collaborative, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
•Lead technical support for projects from initial enquiry and tendering through to construction, commissioning, and energisation.
•Focus on HV electrical elements of M&E projects, with exposure to transmission and distribution (T&D) engineering up to 400kV.
•Prepare and alter design drawings, O&M manuals, and wiring schematics for electrical services.
•Coordinate with design teams, contractors, and project teams on technical and commercial matters.
•Manage document control, method statements, risk assessments, and quality inspections.
•Assist with procurement, tender documentation, and project scheduling.
•Mentor junior engineers and graduates, fostering growth and technical expertise.
Required Qualifications & Experience
•3rd level qualification in Electrical Engineering.
•Minimum of 5 years’ experience in engineering design/project management on industrial installation projects.
•Strong understanding of HV and MV network requirements, energy management systems, and automated control system integration.
•Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
•Excellent IT, communication, and leadership skills, with a flexible and delivery-focused mindset.
•Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process-driven approach, with adherence to safety and quality standards.
