About The Role
The Activity Buddy coordinator will:
Coordinate and deliver the Activity Buddy Programme in North Northamptonshire, by working with and supporting residents to attend Health, Wellbeing and Leisure Services with other 'Buddy' members, reducing some of the common barriers, restrictions and fears people may have when attending activity sessions on their own.
Work with partner organisations and healthcare professionals in the community, to identify participant referrals onto the Activity Buddy Programme to support North Northamptonshire residents to be active.
What will you be doing?
The post-holder is responsible for engaging, recruiting, managing and matching scheme members with other members. Matching is based on need, locality, availability and activity preference.
Updating a database of information for Health, Wellbeing and Leisure services and activities in North Northamptonshire, to ensure that participants are made aware of these opportunities and can make informed choices to be or stay active.
Listen to, understand and support participants to put in place 'personal activity plans' to ensure every participant has the opportunity to be active, regardless of any barriers, and have access to their chosen Health, Wellbeing and Leisure services.
