Teaching Personnel are currently looking for recent graduates within the Stoke-on-Trent area who are considering a career in teaching and are wanting further to experience within a mainstream school. We have both general Cover Supervisor positions available as well as subject specific roles.
This offers both full-time and part-time, flexible roles starting in September, with the opportunity to remain long-term at a school.
Role of a Cover Supervisor:
* Responsible for managing the classroom in the absence of the class teacher
* Ensuring all pre-set work is complete and all content is delivered to the class
* Managing behaviour and following the school’s behaviour policy when necessary
* Providing updates on student progress and behaviour to the head of department at the end of each day
What we’re looking for:
* Degree in any subject
* Confidence and ability to manage behaviour
* A genuine passion for working with young students
* Safeguarding training (can be completed upon registering with Teaching Personnel)
* DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one upon registering
