We are expanding our pool of reliable, confident Cover Supervisors to support our partner secondary schools in and around Barking and Dagenham. This role is ideal for individuals with strong classroom experience who are comfortable stepping into lessons at short notice-sometimes on the morning of.
Whether you're seeking full-time, part-time, or flexible ad-hoc work, we offer opportunities that fit around your availability.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise classes across a range of subjects during teacher absences
* Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure students stay focused and on task
* Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a calm, productive environment
* Support students with learning as required
* Communicate effectively with teaching staff and senior leaders
Person Specification
* Previous experience in a secondary school (Cover Supervisor, TA, Tutor or similar)
* Confident managing behaviour and leading a classroom independently
* Reliable, adaptable, and willing to accept short-notice bookings
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Degree or education-related qualification is desirable but not essential
