Quantity Surveyor- Reading, Hybrid Working
NRL are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of the financial and commercial management of assigned engineering projects for our esteemed client. This role includes maximising profitability and cash flow and overseeing valuations.
Key Responsibilities
Taking a lead on key, long term projects.
Shape and manage subcontract strategy using NEC suite contracts.
Manage day to day commercial activities on assigned projects.
Maximise project profitability.
Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
Maintain strong relationships with clients and the supply chain, ensuring a professional level of communication is always met.
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure compliance with company procedures and integrated project delivery.
Providing commercial support to maximise the performance on all projects
Provide Senior commercial support and development of junior members of the teamRequirements
Proven experience in the commercial arena.
Degree qualified (preferred)
Experience in subcontract management.
Solid NEC3/4 experience.
Strong financial reporting, cost forecasting and valuation skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead and develop a team and to manage complex subcontract accounts.
Solid understanding of contract administration and change management.
Professional, fair, and positive approach to all project stakeholders.
