We are looking for a tutor who can help a medical student improve reading comprehension and test-taking performance. He understands the medical content well but struggles during exams due to difficulty interpreting long or complex questions and loses focus after about 40 minutes.
The tutoring will be exam-focused and question-based, applied to the following medical areas:
Heart (Cardiology)
Lungs (Pulmonology)
Kidneys (Nephrology)
Blood (Hematology)
All four areas are important. However, cardiology is the area where he needs the most support and deeper explanation.
The goal is to develop:
Better comprehension of what exam questions are really asking
Improved clinical reasoning when multiple answer choices seem correct
Better mental endurance for long exams
Strategies to stay focused and reduce test anxiety
Requirements:
Experience tutoring medical students
Strong background in exam strategy and question interpretation
Solid understanding of cardiology, pulmonology, nephrology, and hematology
Familiarity with medical exams (USMLE, COMLEX, or similar) is a plus
Ability to design custom weekly study plans and question-based exercises
Availability and real commitment to spend time teaching, not rushing through sessions
Format:
Online sessions (Zoom or preferred platform)
5 times per week
Student is currently living in Grenada (Atlantic Standard Time / AST)
Flexible schedule, but consistent weekly support is required
