Hays Senior Finance are excited to be supporting a key client in the Kidderminster area with the recruitment of a new Management Accountant on a permanent basis. The company is a leading UK manufacturer that's renowned for expert craftsmanship, sustainability and innovation. Your new role
You will act as a number two to the Finance Director and play a key role in supporting the business with accurate financial reporting, insightful analysis and strategic decision-making whilst leading a small team.
Main duties:

* Production of management accounts and financial reports
\t
* Monitor cash flow and support with annual budgeting
\t
* Support year-end processes
\t
* Prepare KPI and financial information to aid profitability and business growth
\t
* VAT reconciliations and submissions
\t
* Production of relevant commercial analysis e. margins and pricing
\t
* Oversight of weekly and monthly payroll
\t
* Ensure compliance with financial controls and help with the improvement of systems
\t
* Lead and motivate a small team
What you'll need to succeed
\t
* Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or QBE
\t
* Proven management accounting experience, preferably gained in an SME environment
\t
* Manufacturing background (highly desirable)
\t
* Excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate effectively with people at all levels
\t
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
\t
* Highly proficient with Excel and finance systems (Sage 200 an advantage)
