Every learner at Gretton has a diagnosis of Autism, and the ability to learn at or above the level of their mainstream peers, but require a specialist setting in order to achieve their remarkable potential. As autism specialists, we understand that consistent daily routines and staffing helps to keep anxiety at a minimum and ensures that our learners feel safe and confident in their surroundings. Your new role As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the learning and development of autistic students. You'll work closely with teachers, therapists, and families to create a stimulating and safe learning environment. Your responsibilities will include: Organising classroom resources and displays to enhance learning. Supporting students with individualised strategies and sensory programmes. Writing progress reports and contributing to annual reviews. Promoting positive behaviour and pastoral care. Liaising with parents and professionals to ensure holistic support. Preparing tailored learning materials and adapting activities to meet student needs. This is a hands-on role that requires creativity, empathy, and resilience. You'll be part of a team that's passionate about helping students achieve their full potential-academically, socially, and emotionally.
