Sefton Sexual Health Service is a community integrated sexual health service delivering a Hub and Spoke model across Sefton.
Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust are looking for a Data Administrator to join the team at Southport and support all aspects of coding and mandatory data submissions within the service.
We offer a full range of sexual health services including testing and treatment of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and contraception.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills and will have the ability to forge and maintain good working relationships with administrative, nursing and medical colleagues all of whom are valued members of our team.
This post is subject to Standard DBS clearance

Main duties of the job
The post holder will support Health Advisors with results management within the sexual health service
The post holder will develop an in depth knowledge and understanding of all sexual health mandatory datasets and be responsible for the cleansing of data within the sexual health service prior to validation and submission.
The post holder will work closely with the Health Adviser team and be responsible for minute taking at team meetings
The post holder will support The Health Improvement Team with the administration of the National Chlamydia Screening Programme in Sefton

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Accurate inputting of data onto Electronic Patient Record
Investigate queries in relation to GUMCAD/SRHAD
Ensure timely provision of data to the Information to ensure the production of operational performance reports and KPIs
Interrogation of the sexual health computer system to ensure correct attendance type, activity and diagnoses attributed to episodes of care/attendance.
Contribute to the development of a data quality culture in the sexual health service by highlighting data issues, working to develop solutions and ensuring routine audit/validation of all data communicating data quality issues in SRHAD/GUMCAD to all staff and senior management through verbal or written means
Link with other Trust colleagues to enable an integrated view of performance to be taken
Contribute to the local and national audit requirements of the service
Supports all report production by working closely with the information team and service manager
To be responsible for minute taking in Health Adviser team meetings
Works closely with the Health Adviser team in relation to results management within the sexual health service
To acts as System Administrator for sexual health computer system and have thorough knowledge of all its functions and be the first point of contact for departmental IT issues in the absence of the Sexual Health Administration Manager
Be the first point of contact for all data reporting internally
Deal with telephone enquiries from sexual health staff in relation to GUMCAD/SRHAD coding

Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE Level or equivalent at Grade A-C in Maths and English
* RSA Typing II or equivalent
