Description
A global charity seeks a governance professional with 2+ years experience in a Company Secretarial team.
Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Company Secretarial Assistant to join our Corporate Services Team and help uphold high standards of governance across the organisation.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with existing experience in a secretariat or governance environment who is looking to further develop their expertise and gain deeper insight into the strategic and operational workings of a world leading organisation.
You'll work closely with the Company Secretary and stakeholders across the organisation, playing a key role in ensuring we maintain best practice corporate governance and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide administrative and governance support to the Board of Trustees, Committees and subsidiary company.
* Support the Company Secretary in planning and coordinating the annual meeting calendar, ensuring aligned and seamless delivery of papers and meeting logistics.
* Take ownership of key secretariat administrative tasks, including managing statutory registers, drafting resolutions, and maintaining governance records.
* Lead on the administration and minuting of Committee and trading subsidiary Board meetings, ensuring accurate documentation of discussions, decisions and actions.
* Support onboarding, offboarding and ongoing engagement with Trustees and Committee members.
* Contribute to key compliance and governance outputs including the Annual Report and regular Board evaluations.
Skills, Knowledge And Expertise
* 2+ years of experience with a Company Secretarial or Governance team
* Experience in minuting meetings and working with stakeholders at different levels.
* Strong communication and writing skills, with excellent attention to detail.
* High level of organisation and time management, able to manage competing priorities.
* Proactive and flexible approach, with strong problem-solving skills.
* Interest in governance, company law or corporate compliance.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and digital board portals such as Board Intelligence.
* Working towards or interested in pursuing Chartered Governance Institute (CGI) qualifications.
