What We’re Looking For: Minimum Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare. Ideally 2 years’ experience managing a children’s home with a proven track record of good OFSTED outcomes. Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care, PACE approach, safeguarding legislation, and children’s home regulations. Experience in setting up and running a children’s home is advantageous. Confident leadership skills, able to handle challenging situations and provide reflective supervision. Willingness to complete OFSTED fit test. Full UK driving licence. Commitment to promoting the child’s voice and providing nurturing, empowering care. Key Responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day operations of the children’s home, ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality care. Lead and support a team to deliver trauma-informed care aligned with PACE principles. Ensure all statutory records, incident reporting, and SOPs are maintained to a robust standard. Coordinate staff rotas, contingency planning, and on-call duties. Conduct meaningful reflective supervisions, identifying areas for staff support and implementing tailored development plans. Oversee induction, training, and ongoing professional development for all staff members. Monitor and maintain safeguarding procedures, legislation compliance, and OFSTED standards.
