We are seeking a full time, fixed term PostDoctoral Research Assistant to work on the newly funded BrightSpark project, particularly on the modelling of the effects of charge release on cloud microphysics.
Attempting to actively mitigate harmful levels of climate change is a hugely important development with potential positive effects on societies worldwide. BrightSpark is an ARIA funded project to examine the role of charge release in increasing the reflectivity of marine stratus cloud to help cool the climate.
Responsibilities
* Work on the BrightSpark project, particularly on modelling the effects of charge release on cloud microphysics.
Qualifications
* A PhD (or shortly expected) in Atmospheric Science or highly related relevant field
* A proven track record in relevant atmospheric science modelling
* Knowledge of cloud microphysics and/or aerosol science

Salary: £36,636 to £46,049 per annum
