The Role:

As a Math Lecturer, you will deliver high‑quality teaching across a range of mathematical subjects, supporting learners at various levels. You will contribute to curriculum development, foster an inclusive learning environment, and play an active role in the academic life of the department.

New City College is the largest college group in East London, and our Ardleigh Green Campus is a vibrant, friendly and welcoming place where staff play a vital role in maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment. The campus is extremely well connected, making it easy to reach for both staff and students. It is located on Ardleigh Green Road in Hornchurch, just a short walk from Gidea Park Station on the Elizabeth Line, and is served by several local bus routes including the 256 and 294. The campus also offers on site visitor and accessible parking for added convenience.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver engaging, well‑structured lessons across core and advanced mathematical topics.
* Provide academic support, guidance, and constructive feedback to students.
* Develop and update teaching materials, assessments, and learning resources.

Who You Are:

You’re a passionate educator with a deep love for mathematics and a talent for bringing complex ideas to life in ways that feel clear, creative, and genuinely exciting. With a degree in Mathematics or a closely related field and ideally a teaching qualification you thrive in environments where you can support diverse learners and help them grow in confidence and ability. You’re organised, reflective, and always looking for ways to refine your practice, and you bring a collaborative spirit that strengthens the whole department. Above all, you’re driven by the belief that great teaching can open doors, spark curiosity, and change a student’s trajectory.
