Our Cities & Workplaces team is growing due to rising demand. We seek individuals experienced in building certification and/or real estate decarbonization to strengthen our resources.
Job Description
We seek individuals capable of demonstrating expertise in Heat Network (HN) and broader Distributed Energy (DE) projects or programs. DE includes low to zero carbon heat and power networks, systems, and resources such as solar PV, heat pumps, energy storage, demand flexibility, and smart/grid technologies. Experience in project development—scoping, business cases, finance, and high-level technical consultancy—is essential, especially related to schemes involving heat networks, local energy networks, smart grids, and EV integration.
Qualifications
We seek experienced professionals with specialization in HN and DE across various commissions. Candidates should possess some or all of the following skills:
* High-quality service delivery and client management
* Consultancy experience in DE and HN projects
* Proven track record in facilitating and delivering DE schemes
* Ability to overcome barriers in DE project stages
* Knowledge of DE technologies and solutions
* Strong customer relationship skills
* Understanding of metering, billing regulations, and government policies
* Programme management and organizational skills
* Knowledge of building energy demands and relevant regulations (e.g., CP1, Part L)
Preferred skills include business development, stakeholder engagement, energy strategy development, and data analysis for DE.
