Summary
You will provide first stage generalist advice, guidance and coaching to managers and supervisors via multiple channels such as telephone, email, virtual meetings and face to face.
You will have some knowledge of employment law legislation and commercial awareness.

This role offers progression with a revision of salary to £36,936 in time.
Role and Responsibilities
* Support and advise managers on the initial stages of all ER issues; including absence management, performance, grievances, conduct and capability.
* Support investigation officers as required with investigations in real time, by maintaining continuous communication and guidance on the relevant policies and procedures throughout.
* Coordinate and support managers through the initial stages of employee relations cases as necessary by maintaining a communication flow with the line manager, advising and supporting with initial stages and escalating to a Senior HR Advisor as appropriate.
* Provide contextual solution driven and business focussed options for managers by outlining any risks and providing clear next steps.
* Build and maintain strong and effective working partnerships and collaboration across the business.
* Support and upskill managers to develop their ability and confidence in managing employee relation cases.
* Assist the Senior HR Advisors and/or Employee Relations Lead when needed, in providing information that may be relevant to the needs of the business.
* Support as required in restructure processes and implementing and updating HR policies and procedures.
* Assess employee data trends to advise management on any action required to meet corporate objectives or to evidence outcomes of current initiatives.
Requirements
* Minimum Level 3 qualification in HR or relevant subject or relevant experience in a similar role.
* An awareness of Employment Law and other relevant legislation.
* Strong customer focus skills and some experience in advising managers on employee relations issues.
* Strong and flexible communicative style with the ability to influence and negotiate.
* Ability to empathise with the manager and offer practical, business focused, pragmatic advice.
* Be personable with strong communication and relationship building capabilities across all levels of the business.
* Ability to articulate clearly and provide managers with potential solutions.
