We are seeking a talented and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and preparation, along with proven supervisory and team management skills. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality, while maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment.
Duties
* Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
* Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
* Develop menu items that reflect seasonal culinary trends while meeting customer preferences.
* Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards in all kitchen operations.
* Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs to maximise profitability.
* Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and customer service excellence.
* work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
* Monitor kitchen performance and implement improvements as necessary to enhance efficiency.
Experience
* Extensive culinary experience in a professional kitchen environment.
* Proven supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
* Strong knowledge of food production techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles.
* Good knowledge and understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire creativity and passion within the team.
* Previous experience in menu planning, cost control, and inventory management is advantageous.
There will be a two part interview process with a formal interview, followed by a trial shift in our kitchen for candidates making it through to the second phase of the recruitment process.

Pay: £12.50-£14.25 per hour
