Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our culinary team. Duties
* Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.
* Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and timely service.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients.
* Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
* Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as needed.
* Provide training and guidance to junior kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food safety practices.
* Participate in the presentation of dishes to ensure they meet the restaurant's aesthetic standards.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting.
* Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
* A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes.
* Previous experience serving or interacting with customers is advantageous but not essential.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.21-£19.57 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
