Due to substantial growth in recruitment to the Electrical Installation provision, we are looking to recruit a Lecturer in Electrical Installation with a passion for ensuring student achievement, to drive our continued success in providing a high-quality teaching and learning experience across a range of programs within the Division of Construction.
As a Lecturer, you will ensure that Electrical Installation contributes fully towards excellent achievement, retention, and the sustained growth of the Division. You will work closely with Curriculum Managers and the Program Leader in the Electrical craft area, across all programs delivered and assessed, to support the division's goals of improving quality and increasing success rates.
You will teach, relevant to your subject specialism, up to 832 hours per year. A relevant degree in a related subject is required; ideally, you also possess a PGCE or Certificate in Education. If not, the College offers an excellent Staff Development programme to gain a recognized teaching qualification.
You should have knowledge of current issues in Electrical Installation related to the curriculum. Knowledge of work-based learning, full-time and part-time qualification specifications, and experience of successful teaching up to Advanced level (including Work-Based Learning) are advantageous but not essential.
The salary for this post is up to £45,453.
