Premier Foods – Marketing Graduate Scheme – 2026 Based in St Albans Permanent Marketing in Premier Foods offers a unique opportunity to own the end-to-end process of managing some of the Nation’s most love brands. We’re a UK based company so everything happens here in our Head Office in St Albans. Marketing acts as the lead within the Premier Foods business, owning everything from long term strategy, the P&L and Innovation plans. An excellent understanding of consumer behaviour and market dynamics from which we generate everything from Innovation to Communications plans are what make us an Industry leading team. This is a fast paced, dynamic working environment and means you will need to be a quick learner, love working in a fast-moving environment, enjoy analysis and getting into detail, be organised as we work to deadlines, as well as being creative and coming up with new ideas. What does a Marketing Grad Scheme at Premier Foods involve? Ownership from day 1- we are a lean structure, so everyone plays a key role in the team Analysis (and lots of it!)- we believe that obsessive focus on insight and understanding of market dynamics and data is a key contributor to excellent results. So, you’ll need to be numerically strong and curious to keep digging and asking ‘why?’ to get to the heart of a business question Managing Innovation - a strong innovation plan is at the core of our Premier Foods strategy, you'll develop concepts, validate them with consumers and manage projects from ideation to completion. This process includes developing a P&L, packaging design, product idea and tracking once it lands in store. There will be multiple opportunities to present to the Senior team at cross functional business forums. Cross Functional working - we are a collaborative business, and you’ll have exposure to multiple functions beyond Marketing including the broader Commercial team (Sales and Category) alongside our Product Development and Factory teams. Communications - most of the communications you will work on will be creating key campaign visuals for execution with our Shopper team. Whilst we have a focus on TV, the opportunity to create new TV Advertising doesn’t come around too often. The Scheme is 18 months in duration and is based in our St Albans office in Hertfordshire. It starts in September on the same date as all our other Graduates (this is key as you all join as a cohort). You will then work as a Marketing Assistant in one of our Brand teams for the remainder of the scheme, learning your trade as brand marketeer. Assuming you perform and achieve the standard we expect, at the end of the scheme we will promote you to Assistant Brand Manager. What will you get from us? A great induction! Including a Corporate Induction, visiting one of our Manufacturing locations and spending a few days with ‘Stand Out’ (our field sales team), learning about our customers, our Brands and how and why our consumers buy our products. During the scheme you will attend various off-job training courses that will support your personal development You will receive regular reviews and feedback from your line manager - all to help you learn and develop You will work alongside experienced marketeers and learn on-the-job all our processes and ways and working. You will be given early responsibility which will give you exposure to key business meetings, brand development, the power of Insights and how we do innovation at Premier Foods. At the end of the scheme, we will continue to support your career progression and development, the pace of which will be dictated by two things – your personal capability and potential and the right opportunity becoming available What will we expect from you? To take ownership for your own learning and show commitment to the scheme and to the role you perform To be a team player – we are all in it together here at Premier Foods If you are not already ‘commercially aware’’, we’ll need you to develop this thinking quickly We operate Hybrid working. This means working part of the week in the office and part of the week at home. You can work 5 days in the office if you want to, but we expect office based employees to be in the office at least 2-3 days a week. Our graduates play a role in supporting our ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) strategy, primarily around being charity/volunteering champions. Do you offer…?
