My client are an incredibly exciting Climate Tech business who are going through a transformation of their cloud enterprise.
This is not your typical “join the sprint” contract. You’ll operate independently, working alongside highly academic, PhD-level scientists, so clear communication is just as important as technical depth.
What you’ll be doing:
* Leading a migration from AWS to GCP (initial priority)
* Tackling cost optimisation across compute-heavy workloads
* Designing a scalable, repeatable platform pattern for future development
* Bringing structure to currently uncontrolled orchestration environments
Tech environment:
* AWS + GCP
* Python
* Kubernetes
* Distributed compute frameworks (Ray, Slurm / similar)
* High-performance / research-driven workloads
