Appointee must be available to work at any College site as required. Hours of Work 1 FTE. 36 hours per week. Annual hours: 1440 (up to 828 hours for student contact time, remainder for associated duties). Post holder must adopt a flexible approach including evening work as required. Job Purpose To become a member of the teaching team in current courses of study and assist with future developments. Main Duties and Responsibilities Plan, deliver and assess a range of programmes from Level 1 to Level 5. Fulfil the role of class tutor with administrative and pastoral responsibilities. Develop ILT resources appropriate for teaching and learning and promote the use of library/resource centres. Review and evaluate quality of provision per IQ: RS and awarding body requirements. Participate in staff training and development activities to enhance knowledge, skills and professional competence. Contribute to marketing, recruitment, induction, and other appropriate events. Co-ordinate programmes of study. Participate in subject and school team meetings. Organise and contribute to educational visits and work-based learning. Organise and supervise students during residential events. Contribute to the development of new full-time and part-time courses to meet workforce and stakeholder needs. Complete all administrative tasks associated with the post. Participate in achieving outcomes required by the Training Organisation to secure funding. Liaise with employers, Sector Skills Council, and Awarding Bodies. Mentor students for competitions. Attend and/or chair appropriate meetings. Undertake teaching and non-teaching duties on any College campus as required by the Head/Deputy Head of School. Selection CriteriaEssential Assessment Criteria GCSE English (Grade A-C) / Essential Skills Level 2 or higher in Communication; AND GCSE Maths (Grade A-C) / Essential Skills Level 2 or higher in Numeracy, or NICATS Access Maths Modules or equivalent. Full NVQ Level 3 or above apprenticeship in Electrical Installation or equivalent. Level 5 qualification in the relevant curriculum area OR willingness to obtain within two years of appointment. Minimum 2 years experience in Electrical Installations on domestic, commercial, or industrial contracts. Currently qualified as an approved Assessor with an A1 award OR willingness to obtain Assessor qualification. High competency in Microsoft Office Suite.* Excellent administrative, planning, and organisational skills.* Proven ability to work effectively in a team.* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).* *Criteria 69 will be assessed at interview only. Desirable Assessment Criteria Recognised teaching qualification. Approved Internal Verifier qualification (IV / IQA) OR willingness to obtain.
