Were currently recruiting for a Highway Maintenance Operative based in Whittlesford (CB22) on a temp-to-perm basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated team maintaining vital road infrastructure across the region.
Schedule: 5-week rota (4 weeks nights, 1 week days)
* Days: 07:00-15:30 (Mon-Fri)
* Nights: 19:00-03:30 (Mon-Fri)
Duties:
* Summer: Lane closures, barrier repairs, inspections, debris removal, cone deployment
* Winter: Gritting across the network
Training (within 8 months, performance-based):
* IPV Motorway Training
* Lantra TTMBC & 12A Traffic Management
* Highways England Winter Maintenance
Requirements:
* HGV Class 2 licence
* Valid Driver CPC
Pay & Benefits:
* Days: 13.84/hr
* Nights: 18.45/hr
* Overtime: Base + 50% (Weekdays, Sat, Sun)
* Standby Retainer: 143/week
* Winter Maintenance: Paid as overtime
