A rare opportunity has arisen for a bright and ambitious Private Wealth Associate or Senior Associate (3–5 PQE) to join one of the UK’s leading firms in the high-end private client market.
Recognised consistently by both Legal 500 and Chambers High Net Worth as a Tier 1 team, this firm is known for its discretion, technical excellence, and long-standing relationships with high-net-worth individuals, families, entrepreneurs, and landed estates.
The Firm
The firm is an award-winning, full-service practice with deep roots in the private wealth world. With a strong presence in the heart of London, the firm advises clients across tax, trusts, estate planning, succession, and broader family governance matters often with a cross disciplinary approach involving residential property, rural land, and commercial structuring.
With a long history of advising ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and trustees, the firm is known for delivering first-class, partner-led service and pragmatic advice that is both technically precise and deeply commercial.
The Team
The private client department is one of the firm’s crown jewels. A well-balanced group of talented associates, senior lawyers, and industry leading partners. The onshore team, in particular, is growing from strength to strength, led by two exceptional partners with reputations for being both technically outstanding and genuinely supportive leaders.
Their team culture blends excellence with approachability. There is an emphasis on collaboration, mentoring, and career progression, and recent hires have joined from other leading City firms reflecting the team’s pull in the market.
The Role
The firm is now seeking a Private Wealth Associate or Senior Associate to join its Private Wealth team on a permanent basis.
This is a growth role rather than a replacement hire, and the successful candidate will support a busy and diverse practice advising UK-domiciled clients on the full spectrum of personal tax, estate planning, and trust matters.
Typical matters include:
* Succession planning and structuring for UK-based HNW and UHNW individuals and families
* Drafting complex wills, family governance documents, and powers of attorney
* Advising trustees, family offices, and beneficiaries on trust administration and restructuring
* High-value probate, estate administration, and related tax matters
* Integration of advice with residential property, landed estates, and commercial assets
The Ideal Candidate
You will be a qualified solicitor with ideally 3–5 years’ PQE and a strong grounding in onshore private client work.
You must have experience advising HNW individuals and families and be confident handling technical matters related to tax, trusts, estate planning, and succession.
Ideally you will:
* Have trained and/or qualified at a highly regarded private client practice, whether in London or a top-tier regional firm
* Demonstrate strong academic credentials and attention to detail
* Show a genuine interest in developing long-term relationships with clients
* Be collaborative, proactive, and eager to take on increasing responsibility
Why Join?
* You will be part of a top tier team with access to some of the most prestigious clients out there.
* The team is growing, the pipeline of work is thriving, and the path to career development is clear.
* A supportive, collegiate culture with a strong focus on training and internal development
* Highly competitive salaries, including a transparent bonus scheme (up to 10%) and a realistic 1300 chargeable hours target
* Hybrid working policy (2–3 days in office) following a structured and friendly induction
* Work at a firm that values longevity, trust, and personal development
