To support our continued growth, Boccard are looking fora Semi skilled Operative to work at our Deeside location. Reporting to the Materials Manager, the role will cover a range of duties including materials handling, picking and packing, goods in/out and movement of materials within the facility at different stages of the manufacturing process all completed safely, efficiently and on time. We are looking forindividuals with a willing and can do, positive attitude, who thrive in a fast paced, busy team. Applicants must be committed to carrying out work in line with all safety requirements and standards. Previous experience of working in a fabrication facility in a highly regulated, ideally nuclear industry would be advantageous. Applicants must be computer literate, have good communication skills and enjoy working as part of a diverse team. Organised with the ability to prioritise workload effectively, applicants will work on a variety of tasks using different machinery and processes including FLT, slings, banksman duties on a daily basis. Working in a newly set up manufacturing facility, which is fully digitalised, the environment is clean, efficient with the overriding focus on safe working practices. Hours of work are 07:00 to 15:30 Mon to Thurs and 07:00 to 12:30 Friday. A driving license and HSE certification are essential. Principle responsibilities 1. Liaising with the management team to ensure all stock requirements are met and products are received, receipted, stored, packaged and despatched safely and in line with our expectations 2. Ensuring products are stored correctly 3. Responsible for identifying supports and pipe spools from documents and labels 4. Managing goods in and out ensuring correct quantity and quality 5. Read, understand and follow drawings to produce quality output in line with instructions 6. Complete visual inspection of works to ensure quality standards are met 7. Actively working alongside the management team implementing and driving improvements 8. Adherence to all policies and procedures including health and safety rules and regulations 9. Minimise waste by using/disposing of raw materials and consumable items efficiently 10. Operating all equipment in a safe and efficient manner 11. Maintain a safe working environment at all times 12. Report all anomalies, safety hazards and specific problems to the Materials Manager before proceeding further 13. Driving company van including delivering and collecting goods from suppliers. 14. To carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the role.
