About the role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to join JCB’s fast paced, high performing Purchasing team in a role with real visibility and influence. As Buyer for Professional Services & Marketing, you’ll manage a varied and exciting supplier portfolio spanning events & exhibitions, consultancy, legal, HR, training and more. This is a strategic role where you’ll lead sourcing activity, shape category strategies, and build strong commercial partnerships that support both UK and global operations. You’ll be trusted to make decisions that matter, drive value, and help steer the business forward.

What you’ll be doing day to day:
•Own and lead procurement activity across Professional Services and Marketing, from strategy through to delivery.
•Drive supplier performance, challenging on cost, service, lead times and innovation while ensuring quality and reliability.
•Negotiate and manage contracts, securing strong commercial outcomes and managing renewals to maximise long term value.
•Deliver strategic projects, supporting leadership on cost reduction, process improvement and longer term planning.
•Manage the supply base, maintaining strong market intelligence and acting as Lead Buyer for your categories.
•Collaborate across the business, working closely with IT, Finance, HR, Engineering, Events & Marketing teams to deliver successful outcomes.
This will be suited to you if…
•You have proven experience in procurement, ideally within professional services and or Marketing.
•You’ve got strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
•You’re analytical and commercially aware
•You have the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
•CIPS qualification (or working towards) is desirable but not essential.
