About me:
Support is to help three family members living in the same home to give main carers support with care, household jobs, and a short break each week.
The needs of the individuals vary from old age and frailty, dementia, physical disabilities, and memory loss.
The household also has two small well-trained dogs that are friendly and will want to say hello.
Hours and rate of Pay:
Support for a total of 7.5 hours per week:
- Two days for 3 hours and 45 minutes each morning.
- Current times are 8:45am to 12:30pm Tuesday and Thursday.
Hours of work can be flexible to meet everyone’s needs.
Hours may increase.
For an employed PA £12.21 per hour.
For a self-employed PA – to be discussed at interview.
Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required but will be paid for by the local authority.
First Aid certification would be preferred but training may also be supplied.
What you would be doing:
Morning support from approximately 8:30am (although there is some room for negotiation) with personal care (showering and dressing) for 45 minutes.
3 hours per week cleaning, ironing, and general household tasks.
3 hours a week sitting service for main carers to have a break.
The person I would like:
The family would like someone who is relaxed, approachable and considerate, and will give them the time needed to get used to working together. They would like someone who is confident, uses their initiative and can anticipate an individuals needs.
You should have a genuine interest in the provision of high-quality care, be able to work flexible hours and be a good communicator and possess the motivation to develop trust and understanding within the role. Be hardworking, reliable, committed, honest, and trustworthy with a cheerful sense of humour.
Must be willing to undertake or have in-date certification in First Aid training.
Must be comfortable with dogs.
Would prefer female applicants due to personal care.
