Overview
Regulatory Services Field Officer (Pollution Control) at Barnsley Council. You will protect the public by investigating nuisance complaints, carrying out permitting inspections, monitoring air quality and private water supplies, and working with internal and external partners.
Responsibilities
* Investigate nuisance complaints and enforce pollution control regulations.
* Conduct permitting inspections and monitor air quality and private water supplies.
* Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
* Engage with the public and businesses in a professional manner.
Qualifications and Experience
* Level 3 qualification (or equivalent).
* Previous experience dealing with the public and businesses.
* Commitment to flexible working and continuous training and professional development.
Salary, Contract and Working Arrangements
* Salary: £28,598 - £38,220 (career graded).
* Working arrangements: Monday to Friday.
* Hours per week: 37.
* Contract type: Permanent.
Additional Information
* The post requires an Enhanced DBS check.
* If you have lived overseas in the last five years, you may need an overseas criminal records check. You may be asked to provide a Police Vetting Check; this does not supersede the DBS check.
