PROPERTY The diversity of the product offering encompasses a Luxury hotel, with 204 rooms within the main Hotel and Villa accommodation, 11 meeting rooms, 3 golf courses, The Spa at Turnberry and Turnberry Adventures across the grounds of the 827-acre resort. The property is owned and managed by The Trump Organisation. POSITION PURPOSE As the Head Concierge, you will be the ambassador of the hotel, responsible for overseeing the seamless delivery of concierge and porter services that epitomise the highest standards of luxury and guest satisfaction. You will lead the Concierge function and Porter teams, ensuring an impeccable arrival and departure experience, orchestrating personalised guest assistance and maintaining the prestige and tradition expected of a world-class establishment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Guest Experience & Concierge Services Ensure every guest receives a warm, personalised, and discreet welcome reflective of a 5-star luxury environment. Provide expert local knowledge, tailored recommendations and exclusive access to events, dining, and transportation. Anticipate guest needs and resolve issues with discretion, professionalism, and poise. Liaise with VIP guests, celebrities, and high-profile clients with absolute confidentiality and tact. Maintain relationships with high-end suppliers, restaurants, and cultural venues to secure preferential treatment for guests. Lead, train, and motivate a team of porters and doormen to ensure polished service, immaculate grooming, and professional conduct at all times. With the Front Office Manager and Duty Manager, create rotas and allocate responsibilities to ensure optimal coverage for luggage assistance, guest arrival/departure and lobby presence. Oversee luggage handling, storage, and delivery procedures, ensuring safety and accuracy. Oversee the local and international shipping of guest luggage and parcels. Maintain a high standard of presentation across all front-of-house team members. Act as the primary liaison between the Concierge and other departments (e.g. Front Office, Housekeeping, Security). CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION A warm, engaging, and confident personality with a genuine passion for delivering 5* service. Impeccable personal presentation and verbal communication skills. Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage. Ability to remain calm, composed, and discreet under pressure. Minimum 5 years in luxury hospitality, with at least 2 years in a senior Concierge or supervisory role. Proven experience managing Porters, Doormen, or Bell Staff in a 5-star environment. Member of Les Clefs d'Or (preferred). Familiarity with hotel PMS (e.g. Opera) and concierge management systems.
