Director of Partner Sales - Telecoms Software
Location: UK or Nordics
Industry: Global Telecoms Software Provider
Role Overview
My client is seeking an experienced Director of Partner Sales to lead their partner sales strategy while driving direct sales growth. This role combines strategic partnership development with hands-on sales execution to maximise revenue through both channel and direct sales approaches.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute comprehensive partner strategies aligned with company sales objectives
* Identify, recruit, and onboard strategic partners in key regions and verticals
* Build and maintain relationships with channel partners, VARs, MSPs, and strategic alliances
* Create partner enablement programs including training, certifications, and support structures
Revenue Growth & Performance
* Drive sales directly and through partners to meet/exceed revenue targets
* Monitor partner sales performance and provide ongoing coaching
* Develop pipeline through partner ecosystem and joint sales efforts
* Design partner incentive programs to motivate and drive sales goals
* Work cross-functionally with marketing, product, and internal teams
* Mentor internal sales teams on partner dynamics and program development
* Deliver executive presentations on partner performance and market strategies
* Track and report partner sales progress, identifying improvement opportunities
* Optimise existing partner relationships for maximum satisfaction and retention
* Develop co-selling and co-marketing programs to enhance engagement
* Utilise sales tools for pipeline tracking, forecasting, and reporting
* Oversee joint business planning with strategic partners
* Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and partner offerings
* Provide feedback to internal teams on customer and partner needs
Required Experience & Skills
Core Competencies
* Deep understanding of sales channels (direct, indirect, resellers, MSPs, VARs, SIs)
* Extensive knowledge of partner ecosystems and their role in market growth
* Proven experience building and executing channel sales programs
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
Technical Skills
* Process-driven approach to sales and account management
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strategic thinking with the ability to develop long-term aligned strategies
* Strong analytical skills for interpreting sales data and market trends
* Data-driven decision making with experience in financial reporting
* Excellent numeracy skills for bid and contract negotiations
