Lecturer – Health and Social Care (Maternity Cover)

Hours: 37 per week (full time) or 22.5 per week (part time)
Responsibilities
* Teach courses within the Health and Social Care Department, including GCSE 14-16 Programme, Level 1-3 Health and Social Care courses, and T-level in Health and Adult Counselling.
* Design, develop and deliver curriculum that meets the needs of local NHS and healthcare provider partners.
* Support learners in developing personal and professional skills and inspire them to reach their full potential.
* Collaborate with colleagues and external stakeholders to continually improve teaching practice.
* Utilise flexible working arrangements and job share opportunities where available.
Qualifications and Experience
* Teaching experience desired (not essential).
* Health or Social Care professional background preferred.
* Level 5 teaching qualification needed for appointment at point 12 or above (£37,454 FTE).
* Passion for health and social care and ability to engage young people.
Salary and Benefits
Salary will be based on experience and teaching qualifications. Appointments will not normally be made at point 12 or above (£37,454 FTE) without a level 5 teaching qualification and experience.
