About the provision The Specialist Resource Base offers a carefully designed learning space for a small group of pupils who benefit from additional support. Learning here is personalised and flexible, with staff creating meaningful experiences that help pupils build confidence, develop communication skills and make steady progress both academically and socially. The role As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting pupils with additional needs and helping them engage in their learning. Your day may include: • Supporting pupils with complex learning needs during classroom activities • Delivering small group or one-to-one support programmes guided by teaching staff • Helping pupils develop independence, communication skills and confidence • Creating a safe, calm and engaging learning environment • Supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing and social development • Working closely with teachers, support staff and specialist professionals You may also support the delivery of planned learning activities under the guidance of the teaching team.
