Role Summary
To work in conjunction with other category designers, Garment technologists and buyers to create a collection for a category and to follow the product through to Final Production Standard sample stage.
Role Responsibilities
* Responsible for the design of multi products for all phases and seasons
* Research and develop new fabrics/leather in line with trend and brand direction.
* Create colour palette for the range.
* Illustrate product to presentation and specification pack standard.
* Create Specification Packs to forward to suppliers for development of samples.
* Present ranges to team and CEO for sign off and adjustments.
* Adjust and design print/graphics applicable to products.
* Brief Print & Graphic Design with range direction and focal points as appropriate.
* Research themes and directions for following collections.
* Create and present trend packs, Mood Boards, and forecasts for following seasons.
* Follow development of samples through fit meetings to sealer stage
* Align self to companies social and environmental mission and champion any actions that you can directly impact at all times’
Skills and Experience
* Degree or equivalent in Fashion based subject.
* Experience of Accessories (Bags, Footwear & Belts)
* Presentation Skills
* Ability to communicate with externals and Senior Management.
* Ability to organise and prioritise workload.
* Knowledge of footwear & bags construction, treatments, and materials
* Good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator)
* Ability to draw products clearly and accurately.
* Understanding of colour stories and levels
* Ability to convey designs from paper to 3D design.
* Good Knowledge of Factory processes
* Creative and able to convey vision of Fat Face Brand
* Demonstrate knowledge of trend within the marketplace
* Articulate current and future trends for category.
