Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, we are looking to appoint an experienced Construction Estimator to join our Pre-Construction team.
The Role
You will play a key role in securing and shaping our future workload, leading the pricing and commercial input on a wide range of projects, typically valued between ÂŁ100k and ÂŁ5m.
Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing detailed cost estimates
* Reviewing drawings, specifications, and employer’s requirements
* Managing the enquiry process with our vetted supply chain via Constructionline Buyer
* Identifying value engineering opportunities to enhance competitiveness
* Supporting bid strategy and contributing to win themes
* Liaising with internal teams including Bids, Design, Commercial, and Delivery
* Attending site visits, tender interviews, and client meetings where required
About You
We are looking for someone who has sound commercial awareness, detail-driven, and aligned with our collaborative approach.
You will have:
* Proven experience as an Estimator within a main contractor environment
* Experience across design & build, refurbishment, fit-out, decarb & retrofit
* Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and pricing
* Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office
* UK residency and live within 30 miles of TN16 1BT
Desirable:
* Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar
* Experience working within frameworks & public procurement routes
