Job Overview
Our team at Brookstreet Social Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join us in providing high-quality care and support across various services in the Northeast. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment.
Salary: Dependent on location and service
We offer services supporting Adults and Children from diverse backgrounds, including:
* Homelessness
* Drug and alcohol abuse
* Education
* Autism
Locations include:
* Newcastle
* Gateshead
* Sunderland
* Middlesbrough
Responsibilities
* Care and Support: Provide high-quality, person-centred care, meeting physical, emotional, and social needs. Assist with daily activities such as personal care, meals, and leisure.
* Safeguarding and Safety: Follow safeguarding policies to protect service users.
* Documentation and Reporting: Keep accurate records, care plans, incident reports, and logs. Communicate effectively with colleagues, families, and external agencies.
* Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and stay updated on best practices. We offer specialised training with our internal team.
Qualifications and Experience
* DBS on the update service for Adults and/or Children
* Experience in residential or respite care
* Understanding of diverse backgrounds and abilities
* Excellent communication skills
* NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
* Driving licence
