Lecturer in Digital

Reed FE are working with a College in Loughborough and are excited to offer an opportunity for an engaging, innovative, and dynamic Lecturer to join their state-of-the-art Digital Skills Hub. This role involves teaching across our Digital FE provision, including community-based courses, professional training courses, Skill Boot camps, and full-time study programmes.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Deliver high-quality and challenging learning experiences across various digital courses.
* Lead and devise appropriate assessments and assessment strategies, providing feedback through a variety of formative and summative methods.
* Collaborate with staff to develop excellent learning materials and programmes of study utilising a range of media.
* Lead on the development and planning of teaching and learning, including schemes of work for units, programmes, modules, and qualifications as appropriate.
* Undertake curriculum area responsibility duties as designated by the Programme Area Leader/Curriculum Manager.
* Contribute to curriculum planning and development, coordinating a dynamic and responsive curriculum.
* Play a key role in quality assurance and improvement activities, such as IQI.
* Comply with and develop best practice administrative and quality assurance systems.
* Deliver appropriate staff development and training, maintaining and updating specialist skills.
* Attend and actively participate in area and department meetings, planning events, open days, and recruitment events.
* Modify duties and responsibilities as required to meet new situations, in consultation with the Programme Area Leader/Curriculum Manager and college management.
* Undertake any other course leader duties as designated by the Curriculum Manager.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience in an appropriate vocational industry setting or background.
* Relevant degree or professional qualification.
* Significant teaching experience is ideal, however, candidates aspiring to teach with no prior experience are also welcome.
* Excellent planning and administration skills, able to work to deadlines.
* Knowledge of a range of teaching methodologies.
* Technical knowledge and experience in programming, networking, and UX.
