Band 7 CAMHS Clinical Psychologist – Rowan, Weston-super-Mare. We have an opportunity to join our experienced and established team of Clinical Psychologists within our multidisciplinary Community CAMHS Team.
Location
North Somerset CAMHS, Rowan, Long Fox, Weston Hospital, Uphill Road, Weston Super Mare, BS23 4TS. Weston-super-Mare and Clevedon are seaside towns within easy commuting distance to Bristol and Taunton.
Job Summary
You will be qualified and registered as a Clinical Psychologist with experience of working with children and young people, preferably within a community CAMHS service. The post holder will offer consultation, assessment and treatment to young people with mental and emotional health difficulties alongside their families. There is a senior psychologist to support professional development and a multidisciplinary team with diverse skills.
Main duties
* Provide a clinical psychology service to the specified team/service
* Assess and treat a specialist workload of clients and maintain associated records
* Participate in CPD and other developmental activities
* Undertake research and development (R&D) and clinical audit
* Clinically supervise Assistant Psychologists, other professionals and trainee Clinical Psychologists

Job Responsibilities

Person Specification
* Essential
* Doctoral clinical psychology qualification or equivalent
* Maintains appropriate professional registration (HCPC)
* Post-qualification experience delivering evidence-based therapies to young people and families in CAMHS
* Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team and contributing to team meetings
* Desirable
* Experience of providing specialist assessments/interventions (e.g., Autism assessments such as ADOS, Eating Disorders, or specialist CBT)
* Experience of clinical supervision/consultation with junior colleagues or other staff
* Ability to work with diverse populations and to manage risk in young people (suicidal or at risk to self/others)
